I went to Melbourne today with my art class and visited various art galleries. Seeing other artists artwork doesn't inspire me anymore. Not the pretentious crap shown in the mainstream galleries I saw today anyway. The best artwork, the ones that expressed something other than the urge to become popular, were the ones on the street. Beautiful graffiti. There were stencils show casing vibrant, expressive artwork of the youth in Melbourne. Artwork that you could truly appreciate the skill involved.
